HOW
CAN YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN LEGISLATION AFFECTING THE FINANCIAL INDUSTRY?
We asked a local representative to the
Virginia Legislature that question, and the essence of the answer is to keep up
with pending bills while the legislature is in session.
Get involved early by e-mailing or calling your Virginia legislator--once
the bill is on the floor for a vote, it is likely too late to make your voice
heard.
For
the Virginia Assembly, go to http://legis.state.va.us
and follow bills in committee and those pending voting.
You can email your representative from this site as well.
